The best way to describe what it is like down here would be to imagine going on a trip from Billings to Miles City, about 150 miles. Now imagine a beautiful white sand beach filled with trash on one side where the storm surge washed back out to sea, and scattered remains of foundations and steps to nowhere at least several city blocks deep on the other. After that, imagine many more city blocks and streets filled with the debris that came from the first few blocks along with extensive flooding that comes with a 30 ft storm surge.

Tuesday, October 25, 2005: Andrew and Larry spent the morning interviewing and setting up work orders for volunteer workers. Sheila, Bonnie, and Kim cleaned the church offices and worship area.

Monday, October 24, 2005: We met Andrew and Judy, our other Harvest workers in Gulfport. Andrew took us on a tour to view the devastation. It’s pretty awesome. Words cannot express the amount of damage we saw.

Saturday & Sunday, October 22 & 23, 2005: The Harvest of Hope Partnering with Families group rendezvoused at 6:00 am to begin their trek to the hurricane ravished city of Gulfport, Mississippi. Larry, Bonnie, Sheila, and Kim spent the day getting to know each other
