Mission Statement for Harvest Church Small GroupsTo connect every person associated with Harvest Church to a personal community of encouragement, GROWING people into completely committed Christ-followers METHODS FOR HARVEST SMALL GROUP MISSION Our method is to become a vehicle whereby those attending Harvest Church can meet in small groups to: q Pray q Fellowship q Study the Bible q Discuss life issues q Encourage each other in their daily lives q Get to know others more personally q Evangelize q Care for each other q (and/or any combination of these) This is accomplished in three ways, Home groups, Covenant groups, and Focus Groups Home Groups serve to bridge the distance between the corporate church and the individual or family, making each person, know that they are welcome and a part of what is going on at Harvest Church. Additionally, the Home Group serves as a social and spiritual support system from which every member can receive and provide strength and encouragement to the others.
Covenant Groups are long term small groups of Christian friends, of the same sex who meet together at least twice monthly to promote their spiritual growth and safety through bible study, prayer, accountability and intimate friendship.
Focus Groups are a group of people who come together to focus on a common topic. Focus groups meet only for a designated time to investigate the subject of interest.
In short, Small Groups make Harvest Church personal.
