1. Introduction

This policy covers the Harvest Church use of personal information that the Harvest collects when you use www.Harvestweb.net. The policy also gives you information about cookies; Harvest and third parties' use of cookies; and how you may reject such cookies.

From time to time, you will be asked to submit personal information about yourself (e.g. name and email address) in order to receive or use services on our website. Such services include emails, newsletters, blogs and registering for ministry opportunities.

By entering your details in the fields requested, you enable the Harvest Church and its service providers to provide you with the services you select. Whenever you provide such personal information, we will treat that information in accordance with this policy. When using your personal informaiton Harvest Church will act in accordance with current legislation and aim to meet current Internet best practice.

2. Visitor Information

Your profile information is considered personal and private.  However, all information you enter in your profile can be viewed by authorized Harvest Staff and approved 3rd party vendors(example: technology firms working on this site or its database).  If you do not want to share your personal profile with authorized Harvest Staff or any of its vendors, do not fill out your profile.  Your information is treated as private and will not be sold for any commercial use.  Do not include private information such as social security numbers or credit card numbers to ANYONE outside of Harvest or anyone claiming to be Harvest Staff.  Upon request, your profile can be removed by simply calling Harvest Church and asking to be removed from our database.

The information you supply will help us to offer you more personalized features, to tailor our sites to your interests and make them more useful to you. The more you tell us about yourself, the more value we can offer you. Supplying such information is entirely voluntary. But if you don't supply the information we need, we may be unable to provide you with services we make available to other visitors to our sites. Of course, even if you want to remain completely anonymous, you're still free to take advantage of the wealth of content available on our sites without registration.

We may collect aggregate and user-specific information on what pages consumers access or visit. This information is used to generate reports that help Harvest Church assess the value of and interest in the various web pages. The information we collect is used by us to improve the content of our web page. We can build a better site if we know which pages our users are visiting and how often.

In general, any information you provide to Harvest will only be used within Harvest and by its agents and service providers. Also, if you post or send offensive, inappropriate or objectionable content anywhere on or to www.Harvestweb.net or otherwise engage in any disruptive behaviour on www.Harvestweb.net, Harvest can use whatever information that is available to it about you to stop such behaviour. This may involve informing relevant third parties such as your employer, school e-mail/Internet provider and law enforcement agencies about the content and your behaviour.

We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as you use the service you have requested, and remove it in the event that the purpose has been met, or, in the case of www.Harvestweb.net membership you no longer wish to continue your registration as a www.Harvestweb.net member. We will ensure that all personal information supplied is held securely, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

If you are notified on a www.Harvestweb.net site that your information may be used to allow the Harvest Church to contact you for "service administration purposes", this means that the Harvest may contact you for a number of purposes related to the service you have signed up for. For example, we may wish to provide you with password reminders or notify you that the particular service has been suspended for maintenance.
