Areas of partnership include sending specialized or skilled work teams as needed, paying one of Crosspoint's added utility expenses each month, adopting families identified by Crosspoint Church, and more.
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANTS AND CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGERS: If you can serve in either of these capacities, please contact Cindy Broadbent at (406) 967-2772 or jct@mcn.net
Administrative Assistants will serve Crosspoint Church by answering phones, scheduling and greeting work teams, processing work orders, etc. These are two week assignments (can be longer if you want) with openings after Thanksgiving.
Construction Project Manager will serve Crosspoint Church by assessing the needs of homes, prioritizing work orders, sending out work teams, ordering materials, etc. These are two week assignments (longer if you want) with openings after December 12th.
PRAYER TEAM: If you are able to fast and pray on a specific date, please contact Janelle Rafaele for the schedule at (406) 861-3426 or janelle59105@yahoo.com. You will be given specific prayer requests for Gulfport and Crosspoint Church as well as Harvest of Hope work teams and leaders.
WORK TEAMS: If you would like to go on one of the following work teams, please contact Sandy Shenton at (406) 652-8344 or sls3134@bresnan.net
Food Preparation Kitchen work team: November 3rd to November 14th (future dates in the process of being scheduled). These are 6 person teams which will provide 3 meals a day for 100-150 people who are working out of Crosspoint Church.
Skilled Labor Teams: These teams will be scheduled when Crosspoint identifies a need for them. If you would like to go to Gulfport and you are skilled in electrical, plumbing, sheetrocking, carpentry, etc., please let Sandy know so she can contact you when there is a need in the area of your specialty.
Manual Labor Teams: These teams will be scheduled when Crosspoint identifies a need for them. If you would like to go to Gulfport to help with mudding out and cleaning up, please let Sandy know so she can contact you when there is a need for this type of team.
Roofing Team: If you are interested in going to Gulfport to work on a roofing crew, please contact Kevin & Angi Iffland at 373-9339. This team will need 1-2 experienced roofers and 2-4 laborers with general construction knowledge. The dates for this trip will be scheduled according to the availability of those interested in going.
ADOPT-A-FAMILY: If your small group, business, or family would like to adopt a family in Gulfport, please contact Kim Brooke at (406) 245-5734 or HandKBrooke@hotmail.com
Adopt A Family groups will be given names and contact information for families whom Crosspoint Crosspoint will identify as needing our help. The details of this program are still being developed, but it will include things such as sending notes of encouragement and greeting cards, special event phone calls, and Christmas/birthday gifts, etc. We hope to have the details of this program finalized by the middle of November.
RESOURCES: Financial support will go toward sending work teams and admin/manager teams, purchasing construction materials, as well as buying and preparing food once a month to the hundreds of workers who are serving from Crosspoint Church. Additionally, we will help Crosspoint Church with the added utilities, phone, and garbage service expenses of providing hurricane relief in their community. GIFTS-IN-KIND are tax-deductible gifts of equipment, tools, and supplies needed for Crosspoint Church and Harvest work teams. Because of your generosity we have already been able to provide Crosspoint Church with extra computers and printers to facilitate processing of work orders and answering hurricane relief related emails, fax machine, and more. Following is a list of things we still need:
Motorhome or camper
work team dorm trailer or wall tent that will sleep 6-8 people
airline tickets to fly smaller teams in/out of Gulfport
12 passenger van to transport larger work teams to/from Gulfport
CASH GIFTS are needed to help pay the following expenses:
administrative and management people in Gulfport (approximately $500 per week)
travel for those who would like to go on a work team, but don't have the finances to go
added utilities at Crosspoint Church which include:
