Compassion Weekend 2010

October 16 & 17

Jesus described himself as coming to earth to serve, not to be served. Following the example of Christ, we want to serve our local community through Compassion Weekend. We have projects that range from doing simple cleanup, painting and maintenance to skilled construction. There's something for everyone!

Cleanup, refinish playground and build picnic tables at Washington Court
Paint exterior of mausoleum at Mount View Cemetery (Sunday Only)
Pour concrete at North Park
Replace roof and soffit at Burlington Park restrooms
Carpentry work at Sacajawea Park building
Haul and spread playground materials at various parks
Fill in and seed old graves at Mount View Cemetery
Construct new shelter at Castle Rock Park
Maintenance, demolition and painting at the Montana Women's Shelter (must be 18 years old)

Stock, clean, and organize merchandise at the 3 Montana Rescue Mission Bargain Centers (must be 14 years old)

Plant trees at:
South Side Parks (60 trees)
Pioneer Park (25 trees)

Paint, clean up and install winter window treatments at various units at:
Sam's Club Trailer Court
Windsor Court

Replace roof at:
Zimmerman Center at Pioneer Park
Mount View Cemetery office
North Park
Rose Park
Veterans Park

Pour cement pad for new shelters at:
 Castle Rock Park
 North Park
 Veterans Park
 Pioneer Park
 Rose Park
 Olympic Park (subdivision)

Paint exterior of bathhouse at:
Highland Park
South Park
Rose Park (interior and exterior)
